Secret Cove Beach is on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. Most suggest you arrive by 10 a.m. as it gets a good crowd and parking and sunbathing spots can fill fast. Besides the beach area there are many large boulders that surround the cove. The water in the cove is shallow so it stays fairly warm and is great for swimming, or just floating on an air mattress. The beach is recognized as a nude beach and nearly everyone is nude.

On Hwy 28 south of Sand Harbor you'll see a parking lot on the west (lake) side of the highway. Park there. Walk south on the fire road that begins there. Follow the trail down to the beach. Expect a 10 to 15 minute walk. If the lot is full, you can park on the shoulder of Hwy 28, south of the last No Parking sign (cars on the asphalt itself will be cited). On the west side of the road, follow signs that say Trail to the beach path. The trail also leads to Chimney Beach which is sometimes used by nudists, The boulders between Chimney and Secret Cove are recognized as clothing optional. Or you can come in by boat! In fact, I'd like to hear from a few people that might be attending with boats to help ferry in a cooler or two

It's a pack in pack out location so be prepared to take out with you whatever you bring in.

Any thoughts on postponing the M&G? Or do you think that the weather is acceptable for a good turnout?

Over the past couple years I've listened to people complain that there isn't much going on around the area. Especially events open to everyone (including single males) and I am a little surprised by the general lack of enthusiam and some of the nay-sayers I've encountered since I suggested this. (Thank goodness there have been some very supportive people)

The idea was to find a fun & unusual place for local people to meet & get to know each other. Getting acquainted is the first step in taking things to other levels. It's a meet & greet opportunity to make friends and see what happens from there. The question was put in another post as to whether we needed a new room moderator...I think we just need people to get involved and show up at events and such.

One can talk something to death or one can opt to be part of something. So far a lot of the things mentioned in this section (other than the club parties) has been just that....talk!

So the way I look at it like this...I normally have to work on Saturdays. I took the day off on the 20th specifically to be at that beach. I'll be there. We'll see who else walks the walk.

As I said this is more a chance to meet new friends and open the door to opportunities. It wasn't brought up to be some wild beach fuck fest. What I had more in mind is an event for people to meet now, have fun, & party later.

As I said, people are funny that way. They say they want to meet people...but can't seem to commit to doing so...if everyone showed that said they might there'd be like 300 people....but realistically I'm sure it will be much less. But we'll see.
